Why I do this work
I served as an Army Combat Medic in the infantry. I know what it's like to stay composed when everything in you is on alert, and to carry more than I realized for longer than I should have. EMDR became the turning point in my own recovery, and it's a large part of why I built this practice.
Today I work with working professionals across Oregon — first responders, veterans, and medical personnel among them — who are carrying more than they let on. My approach is client-centered and built primarily on EMDR, along with experience working with cognitive-behavioral and trauma-focused approaches (I haven't completed formal CBT certification, but I draw on those frameworks where they're useful). What matters most to me is that sessions are direct, honest, and moving toward something — not just talking in circles.
Outside of the therapy room, I bring the same values I carried in uniform: show up, do the work, and don't leave anyone behind.
